2025 Hay Sampling Program
Due to the wet weather this year, OSU Extension is offering reduced-cost hay analysis to help farmers and livestock owners make informed feeding decisions.
Late, mature hay is typically lower in energy, protein, and digestibility—making testing more important than ever. This special offer is made possible through OSU Extension’s eBarns Program and the Small Ruminant Research Lab.

Near Infrared (NIR) analysis including:
Dry Matter
Crude Protein
TDN
ADF & NDF

Cost:
$15 for the first sample
$20 for each additional sample
Deadline to submit samples: July 31, 2025
How to submit:
Place dry hay in a paper bag
Place wet-wrapped hay/balage in a plastic bag and freeze
Drop off at the Carroll County OSU Extension office
