MOCK FARM ACCIDENT RESCUE

A mock farm accident rescue demonstration will be held at the Straight A’s Arena at 1:00 p.m. The mock farm accident is designed to demonstrate farm safety and emergency response skills for both children and adults.  Local police, fire, EMT, and medical helicopter evacuation crews will respond to the mock accident.

This year’s mock farm accident rescue will be an accident involving an ATV mishap.

PIONEER EQUIPMENT HORSE AREA

Demonstrations of various horse-drawn activities will be held throughout the day at the horse area located behind the Kids Safety Roundup Area.  Demonstrations of the following will be ongoing throughout the day in the Horse Area:

-Horseshoing
-Plowing with horses
-Hay-making with horses
-Large Bale feeding/un-rolling with horses
-Mule demonstrations
-Oxen demonstrations

NEOLA (North East Ohio Llama Association) Llama & Alpaca Area

The NEOLA Llama and Alpaca Activity Area will feature many educational and fun learning activities on the many and varied uses of llamas and alpacas. There will be displays, individual farm exhibits, scheduled presentations, obstacle course demonstrations, and even an opportunity for the public to handle these animals in this new area at the field day.
