The People of Carroll County
Are Planning Its Future!
============================================

The “Carroll County Comprehensive Plan for Growth and Development” includes three areas:

    • Economic Development
    • Social Development
    • Natural Resources and Agricultural Development
A comprehensive plan is needed for the following reasons:

1. To charter a carefully planned direction for the future
2. To protect the County’s existing desirable rural character and natural environment
3. To guide the development of transportation, utilities, housing, sanitation and other social amenities
4. To develop a plan for business attraction, retention and expansion
Who will direct the Carroll County Growth and Development Plan?

In a real sense, the needs and desires of all citizens will direct and lead the overall plan. A group of teams, under the direction of their team leaders, will work together to develop a detailed plan based on the inputs received from the residents.
