Carroll County Endowment Auction

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the clubs, advisors and families who donated items or came to the 4-H Endowment Auction on December 1! We once again had a tremendous turnout and raised $7900 for the Carroll County 4-H Endowment Fund.  From the comments we have heard, people thought it was a wonderful event and are ready to do it again!  Special thanks to the planning committee, teens that helped as hosts & hostesses, and Diane Moore our chair for this year's event.  Thank you! We could not have done it without you!

Club Roster Changes

Advisors: Please advise the office ASAP if you have any members that are new to 4-H or any members who are no longer in 4-H in your club.  We need to have their information right away so we can get the new ones on the mailing list and the old ones off.  If this applies to you, please give us a call or stop in.

Also, if you have advisors that have left your club, or you are no longer having a club, please let us know this also.  In order to update our mailing list we need to know who is where! Thanks!

New Advisor Applications

Anyone interested in becoming a 4-H volunteer advisor for the 2002 4-H year must turn in an advisor application by January 1, 2002.  This is the first step in the advisor application process.

The volunteer application process takes approximately four to six weeks.  Applicants are contacted for an interview as soon as reference checks have been made

Volunteer Advisor Retreat

This year's Volunteer Advisor Training will be held on Saturday, February 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at FFA Camp Muskingum.  There will be several different sessions for you to choose from that day, as well as this year's volunteer recognition luncheon.

This will be the only in-county volunteer & advisor training opportunity for 2002.  Watch your mail for more information!

Reminder: All 4-H Advisors & Volunteers in Carroll County must participate in at least one volunteer training per year to continue their volunteer status!

Thank You!

On a rather personal note... I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the individuals and clubs for the many caring words, cards, flowers and memorial donations that we received upon the recent death of my father.  My family and I were truly amazed at the enormous amount of caring and kindness that was extended to us.  My dad was a remarkable man and a wonderful father who I miss greatly.  Your support and caring have been very much appreciated by myself and my family during this difficult time.  Thank you.  - Vicky Oboy
